Carers' Wellbeing Group
Carers Wellbeing Group DBC A4

Relax, unwind, chat with others in similar situations. Sometimes we will have a speaker or entertainment, other times we will just chat.  Being both a carer and a caree, I know the problem from both sides. Having suffered severe back pain for 15 years, my husband was my carer who had to help me get dressed and shower and run the house; meanwhile we were raising my severely autistic grandson. I know how a carer can tend to feel unnoticed by others, yet the constant pressure of having to think for and about someone else is often unrelenting. We aim to provide a quiet space, with someone to make you a cup of tea or coffee, once a month for you to feel like you again, where you can meet others from similar situations who will understand much of the pressure you feel under.
