Children's Ministry

Bubb

DBC is a family church. We are a family from the youngest to the oldest and children are a large part of our mission both in the community and at the church.

There's a reason so many families enjoy life in all its fullness here at DBC.

Sundays

On Sundays there are 2 great smaller groups for the younger people to get involved in as well as a popular youth group
Children and families are a huge part of DBC life and everyone is welcome. Parents can take their children to one of our fun groups, or of course keep their children in the main service with them. What ever would make you feel more comfortable.

We have a fantastic programme for the kids at DBC:

Creche (up to Key Stage 1)
Juniors (Primary age)
Youth (Secondary age)

Children stay with their parents at the start of the service as we worship together for the first part of the morning. Someone will announce when the children go to their groups. You will need to go with your children and sign them in.

What about Creche?

  • Our helpers are Safeguarding level 2 trained and DBS cleared.
  • The creche room is secured, giving you that little extra peace of mind, especially if it's your first time at DBC.
  • There's a fun Bible story which sets the theme for the day's activities.
  • The children take part in games, crafts and other fun things.
  • A healthy snack is provided.
  • There is a fully enclosed out door area which is great for those sunny days.
  • Toys, toys and plenty of toys. Don't want to do the craft or listen to the story? No problem. The toys are always out and ready to play with.
  • Baby change facilities available.
What about Juniors?
  • Our helpers are Safeguarding level 2 trained and DBS cleared.
  • The children meet in their own dedicated space which is secured at all times.
  • The morning's activities are focused around a biblical theme.
  • There are stories, crafts, games and more.
  • All activities are age appropriate and the children really do enjoy their group.

In the community

DBC is actively involved in the community, that's why we're here. Here are just some of the ways we engage with children in the local area...

  • Girls' Brigade. Every Friday from 5.30pm. Enjoy finding out about life skills and the community around for primary ages and up.
  • Open The Book. Bringing the drama of the Bible into primary schools. The children look forward to their assemblies when the Open The Book team are around.
  • Experience Easter, Harvest and Christmas. Every year different primary schools visit churches near them to find out about Christian festivals and what they mean. DBC is proud to be a part of that mission working with the Central Telford Schools Team.
  • School Assemblies. Our ministerial team are actively involved in many local schools and enjoy regularly leading assemblies.
Whether you join us on a Sunday or in the week at our fun groups, you and your entire family are always welcome at Dawley Baptist Church. If you have any questions then please do contact us.
