Thank you Lord that at Christmas we celebrate the nativity of your son, bringing peace to the
hearts of mankind.
 

YAHWEH-HESED  
God of forgiveness.

Read Nehemiah 9:17   
You are a God of forgiveness, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and rich in
unfailing love.
God does not repay us with what we deserve but reaches out in mercy and tenderness.

Thank you God that you made things right between us and opened the door of heaven so
that we can share your home.

The Lord is there.

The lord our righteousness.

righteousness.
We are saved by the righteous blood of Jesus.

Lord thank you that you have prepared a way home to you as your adopted sons and

Heavenly Father it is a source of comfort to know you are my refuge.

The Lord is my rock.

Read Psalms 18:2  
The Lord is my rock, fortress, saviour, protector, shield, power and place of safety. In
one verse of a psalm we are reminded our God is a multitude of names, not just the
one we happen to be looking at.

Prayer 
Thank you Lord for suddenly revealing your greatness.

The Lord is my strength

Our God is our individual strength. Often, we only think about doing the things we
feel is within our capabilities rather than allowing God to use His strength through us.

       Prayer      
Lord help me to let go and rely on your strength in my life. You give me a firm footing.

God knows what is good for us and if we allow him to be our Lord and master
He will guide us along the right path.

Lord help me to remember you are the most High and that you are in control.

The Lord is my shield, protector.

With our Lord we are safe and can rest easy. God is our shield and watches over us
night and day.

He is a jealous God.

                Our God is jealous about his relationship with his people.
Is God first in our life?

Lord God help me to keep my eyes fixed on Jesus.

The Lord is my banner.

            The Israelites have just won a battle under the “banner” of God. Today we live under
the banner of Christ. Can people see your banner?

Prayer         
Lord help us to be clear who we serve so that whatever we do or say gives glory to Jesus.

 

YAHWEH RAPHA 
The Lord who heals.

               In Exodus God heals the bitter waters so his people can survive.
He gives them the “water of Life”.

Prayer 
Please help me to partake of the water of Life that is in Jesus Christ.

YAHWEH YIREH (JIREH) 
The Lord will provide (meet our needs).

Read Genesis 22:13-14
      Abraham was prepared to give up his greatest treasure to obey God.

Prayer       
Lord you know our needs, help me to be content that you will provide.
 

 

YAHWEH  (YHWH)  
I AM.

       God just is, always was, always will be (outside of time).

Thank you for continually being you.

Everlasting, eternal God.

 He has no beginning and no end.

Prayer 
Help me to understand the relevance of eternity in my life today.

EL SHADDAI  
God Almighty, the all sufficient one.

Read: Genesis 17:1-2 
         God calls Himself by this name and guarantees Abraham will become a mighty nation.

Prayer         
O God you are enough to meet all my needs. Thank you for making me part your nation.
